Marianne K. Coberly
Marianne K. Coberly presently serves as the Business Services Manager of The KeySource Group, Inc., and KeySource HCI, LLC. KeySource is a strategic business management and human capital consultancy company headquartered in Hudson, Ohio, which provides strategic services for clients that serve the energy, defense, environmental, and engineering and construction markets. Marianne also manages the business of KeySource HCI, a subsidiary focused on human capital investments that primarily identifies, attracts and retains leadership talent for growing and learning companies.
Marianne manages the finance and business services for KeySource and oversees the daily operations and logistics. She thoroughly reviews contract requirements for pass-down to subcontractors and she conducts compliance reviews for quality assurance. With a background in HR and employee benefits, she also manages the benefits programs for KeySource employees and associates. With a focus on client success and business responsiveness, Marianne also supports the research team with investigative research, report writing, editing, and logistics management.
Prior to joining KeySource in 2004, Marianne worked as a Benefits Coordinator at the law firm of Covington & Burling in Washington, DC. Her responsibilities focused on the administration of benefits to over 250 lawyers and approximately 650 staff persons including health and dental insurance, long-term disability insurance, life insurance, and worker's compensation benefits. Marianne effectively interfaced with Covington & Burling's personnel, insurance carriers, brokers, and consultants to efficiently administer the benefits programs and resolve outstanding problems. Marianne was also instrumental in helping to make important cost savings decisions by creating a more detailed and accurate review of the insurance budgets. She was also key in the development and administration of the health and dependent care pre-tax programs. Marianne's outstanding interpersonal skills were valuable to the Human Resources Department in assisting with employee orientations, exit interviews, salary advances, and loans. Marianne also served her local community by coordinating the annual American Red Cross Blood Drive and the United Way Campaign for the law firm.
In addition to her contributions in the Benefits Department, Marianne supervised seven employees in Accounts Payable. She hired, trained, and reviewed the payables processors and managed the overall productivity of the department. Additional responsibilities included auditing expenses, coordinating the daily disbursement of checks, month-end close, and year-end projects and reports. She expertly researched and resolved problems and professionally communicated with the appropriate lawyers or department supervisors.
After graduating with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Economics from Willamette University, Marianne began her career at Sysco/Continental Foods in the Accounting Department. By the conclusion of her first year, she was promoted to Accounts Payable Supervisor. She was responsible for the workflow of approximately $111 million in invoices per year. She supervised five payable processors and enjoyed the daily challenges of the department. She was well respected for her ability to resolve problems and effectively communicate with the many vendors and department supervisors.
